The other day I realized that I hadn't posted in awhile. I also realized that I hadn't been reading much lately either. 'Why is that?' do you ask? Well simple. One word = OLYMPICS! I love the Winter Olympics. A lot of the events are excessively dangerous, and I just marvel at the skill and courage of the athletes. How they can ski down a mountain at 80mph and NOT FALL DOWN is beyond me!
Every night we've been gathering around the TV in our living room and watching the Olympics as a family. The girls got into it right away. They are every bit as excited about a USA win as David and I are. And they groan when any competitor falls down (just as we do). It's been a fun week!
Emma and I were watching men's figure skating Thursday evening, and a 16 year-old participant fell down a lot. Emma commented, "Well, that's okay. Sixteen year-olds usually fall down a lot." ☺ I had to chuckle to myself. How many 16 year-olds does she even know? Cute.
Go USA!!! 21 Medals and counting... ☺

I LOOOOOOOVE the Winter Olympics too!!! Especially the figure skating!! Unfortunately, we don't have cable, so we can't actually watch them...but we can watch clips online, and that's fun. :)
We've been watching in the evening too and I keep telling Jeff - I have accomplished *nothing* in my life. I mean, there are 19 y.o. kids ice dancing at the Olympics and they're totally fabulous and I haven't done anything nearly as amazing!! Puts things in perspective.
Very fun to watch!
Cute :D
