Here she is by the piano. My mom bought her a nice ensemble for the recital, and low and behold it matched the piano! Not our intention. ☺ Paige is kind of showing off how she could play her song without looking while I took her picture. Cute.

Monday afternoon my cousin Steph came over with her new baby, Ellie Elizabeth, who is two weeks old. Emma and I were very excited to see and hold her.

Emma held her quite a bit.
Abigail was sleeping for most of the visit, but when she woke up from her nap she was very interested in the new little person in her house. Steph was changing Ellie here in this picture, and Abigail had to inspect the baby. She kept poking Ellie in the nose. (She has a fascination with noses.)...~~`~~...
It has been quite nice out the last few days: sunny and in the fifties. We opened the windows between our den and three-season porch. Yesterday afternoon I was enjoying a quiet moment in the porch while Abigail played in the adjoining rooms. She started to look for Mommy, and then she found me. ☺

Paige's problem is very common - I know I used to (and my own students do) play well at home and then goof up the song at the lesson; but I'm sure Paige will improve with that the longer she plays. :)
What a fun post! And yes, Paige did very well at the recital! :) It was a joy to teach her and then watch her perform!
I like the interesting detail about Abby looking up baby Ellie's nose. ;)
And I love the last picture of Abby looking (or rather, trying) through the window. :)
