Howdy, Y'all! ☺ Amanda at Amanda's Journals tagged me in a "Country Tag". Thanks, Amanda!
Questions:
1. Have you ever been to a rodeo? Not technically, but I've driven by them as they were going on at the county fair. Does that count? ☺
2. Have you ever tried to ride a cow? "Ride a cow"?? Umm...can't say that I've ever "tried" much less wanted to. Cows are surprisingly large when you get up close to them. Surprisingly large=scary.
3. Have you ever milked a cow or a goat? No.
4. Have you ever been to a Demolition Derby? Finally a question I can answer "Yes!" I HAVE been to a Demo, and they are fun. But only when you have drivers who are willing to please the crowd and really ram the other vehicles.
5. What's your favorite Country song? It's been many years since I stopped listening to Country, so my favorite song was "The Dance" by Garth Brooks.
b. Who is the artist? Oh...umm I just answered that above. ☺
6. Do you like to hunt? I've never gone, and I don't really care for guns so I probably wouldn't enjoy it. But I sure do like venison sausage, so I approve of hunting.
7. Have you ever cooked your breakfast over an open fire in your backyard? No, but my family has camped enough where we've had breakfast over an open flame.
8. Have you ever thought that the muck was shallow and when you stepped in it, you sank knee deep? I don't know if I have ever stepped in "the muck" before.
9. What is the hardest thing you have ever done? Dealt with the death of my son.
10. What's one of your most embarrassing moments? Just one?? The one that sticks out most in my head happened during ninth grade. I had a choir concert, and we were supposed to run onstage and perform this hoedown type song, and dance, too. Well in trying to get up onto the stage I slipped off the edge and fell off the stage in front of an audience of 700 people. I gingerly got off the floor and climbed the 4+ feet back up onto the stage. I don't know how many people saw it, but I know that our concert was recorded. So the next day during choir we had to watch our performance, but thankfully you couldn't see my ridiculous escapade as it happened to the left of the camera's viewing area. *phew*
~~
As you can see I am not very "country". But I grew up in town, and even though both my grandparents had farms neither had animals on them by the time I was born.
