Prayer requests

I have a couple prayer requests that I would like to mention:

1. Please be in prayer for my mom and our family as we recently found out that my mom has lung cancer. Praise be to God though that the cancer is only in her right lung (nowhere else in her body), and the outlook is good; six rounds of chemotherapy should eradicate the cancer. Mom started chemo this past Friday, and we are all just kind of waiting to see how it is going to affect her body. Please pray that the doctors would have wisdom in treating my mom and that she would have extra physical strength for the months ahead. I also pray that we as her family would be merciful towards her and sensitive to ways that we may minister to her. Through God's abundant grace will we endure this trial.

2. I have power of attorney over my grandmother, and lately things have gotten kind of ugly in our dealings with one another. Grandma is saying things to me that make it very hard to respond in a loving, God-honoring manner. But I try to remember that she is a widow, and the Bible is very specific about how Christians ought to treat widows: we aren't to forget them in their troubles, etc. Please pray that God would give me grace to deal with her correctly and the wisdom to know how to respond to her comments.

Oh my Nikki! Why didn't you say anything about your mom before?? Poor Lori! We will keep her in our prayers for sure.

I don't know why I didn't mention it before. I guess I just didn't want to make a big deal out of it, but looking back on it it IS a big deal, and I should have said something before.

So sorry to hear about your mom and your grandma. We'll be praying for you, cancer is a difficult thing to deal with.
