Asking for prayer

Despite attending church, despite biweekly Bible studies in our home, and despite reading the Word to my girls and teaching them Bible lessons during our home school, I feel spiritually lazy. I know that Pastor has said before that we have periods in our lives that are marked by strong spiritual growth followed by a period of dropping off. Lately I feel as if I'm in the latter category. When this happens to me my prayer life tends to drop off as well, and I start just "riding the waves" of life without much focus on God and how HE'S the one controlling my life, and I ought to be praising and thanking Him or coming before Him on my knees. I tend to think, "Things are okay so I don't need to pray."

Please pray that I would have a zeal for our Father and a desire to bring glory to Him in all areas of my life and also that my focus would be directed at Him and not at the world around me.

AMEN!! Dearest Nikki that is EXACTLY how I feel!!! We must pray for each other. :) One verse that really encourages me is Phil. 1:6 "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." No matter what we do He will complete us!! Keep looking to the cross dear!

With MUCH love in Christ,

Leah

Thank you both for taking me back to the Scriptures for encouragement. I appreciate your prayers as well, and I will pray for you, too. : )
