Emma mused the other day that we ladies ought to say "A-women" after praying.
"Men are men so they say 'a-men', but we are girls so we say 'a-women'."
I then explained to her that "amen" means "so be it", and it's kind of like how an Adam's apple isn't named after each individual man. Whether we're male or female we say "amen". She still wanted to say "a-woman" of course. ☺
