Fall Party/Hayride and Halloween '09

Every year we have a fall party and a hayride at my grandpa's farm-about 10 miles outside of our town. The girls were so excited to wear their costumes this year, so they dressed up for the party.

Abby went on the hayride, too, and she stayed awake the entire time. She was very well behaved. As long as she has her pink blankie she is fine. ☺

Paigey Pie on the hayride with my aunts in the background. Shortly after the wagon started going it began to rain. So not only were we already enduring freezing temperatures we were now getting rained on as well. But we still had fun! We always sing silly children's songs and Oldies. And one of my aunts brought along a Thermos of hot apple cider. Yum!

This year was the first year that the girls went trick or treating, and Dave and I handed out candy. My mom took Paige and Emma along with 3 1/2 year-old my nephew, Nathan, to houses along our block and to the annual party at the American Legion.

Dave's MN Twins logo pumpkin. I asked him, "Next year, how are you going to top your pumpkins from this year?" He said he's going to make a Death Star pumpkin. ;-)
