THE GREAT DEBATE [weekly poll result]

This past week I did something shameless and heinous; something I told myself that I wouldn't do: I advertised my blog on my facebook account. *cue the "dun dun DUN!* 8-) But since this issue was so divisive I wanted as many voters on my poll as I could possibly get. My advertising worked; I had a record high 17 voters on this poll. !!! Excellent!

So without further ado, the results were:

• 9 votes for toilet paper rolling out AWAY from the wall
• 8 votes for toilet paper rolling out TOWARDS the wall

I. Was. Bummed. *wink* I was so hoping that rolling towards the wall would win as I feel passionately that it should roll that way. It works the best when you have cats because then they can't chew on the end of the toilet paper roll. Also, children tend to unwind the roll and not wind it back up. So it's helpful to have the TP rolling towards the wall. My sister-in-law put it this way, "It needs to roll so that you can just hit it with your hand, and then it rolls back up by itself." EXACTLY! I'm being melodramatic, of course, but seriously at my house it HAS to roll that way, and if someone puts a new roll on the other way I will switch it. My friend Sarah teases me when she comes over that she is going to switch my roll around because she knows it bugs me. How could she be that cruel?! ;-)
