'That's in ounces, right?'

This morning I weighed myself. (I should stop right there because this story can only go downhill after that.) I paused and stared at the number. It was five pounds higher than about two weeks ago. Where did those extra pounds come from? How do they just creep up on a person? Then I started thinking about the time of year it was: November 14. Huh...maybe it's all the extra Halloween candy I've been casually munching on...Casually. Hmm...I MIGHT have underestimated my occasional snacking. ☺

I've been working out the past three days. (All right! Thumbs up! Kudos to me! ☺) But you know what is the worst part about working out? No immediate results. I mean, that's WHY we exercise, right? We want to see results. But you could do a hundred sit-ups in one day, and your belly still looks like it's impersonating a bagel. And that makes a person discouraged. And what do we do when we're discouraged? We eat! ☺ Halloween candy is particularly helpful in those kinds of situations. So are chilled M&Ms. And Toaster Strudels. And Pop-Tarts. And Schwan's vanilla ice cream served in a convenient cup and topped with candy-coated chocolate sprinkles.
☺
Oooh, all that writing about delicious food makes me want to eat... *sigh* I mean, go do some sit-ups. THEN I won't feel so badly about sneaking a Starburst. But just one. Seriously. Only one...followed by another. ;-)

Ha, ha, I can sympathyze. Steve told me "you're sure eating a lot of junk food lately!!!" I guess I'll have to crack down after the baby's born and do some searious dieting and excercize. Until then . . . I doubt it makes much difference. My belly looks like a bowling ball anyway so why bother :D

Hehe. :) Maybe you should set a principle to never buy any potato, pasta, or sugar product. ;) No really, your post did make me giggle over here; you have an awesome writing style. :) Have fun with your sit-ups! ;)

Hey, it's winter, and we all need to bulk up for warmth. ;-)
